You'll find friendly bartenders, cheap drinks, and great entertainment in this retro-styled LGBTQ+ gay bar. Enjoy the pool tables, outdoor patio, and nightly events at this late nite gay haven.
Friendly neighbourhood bar
Friendly, relaxed bar without big city pretentiousness. Drinks are cheap, as is the pool. Usually a good game going, so put your name on the board to join in (but watch out for the drag queen pool shark!!). There are karaoke nights and a DJ on weekends. We missed underwear night by a week, but it was a hoot on previous visits. There's a cafe next door which opens after the bar closes on Fri and Sat night for late-night hangover prevention meals. Definitely worth a try if you're after something a little more low key.
Chill hang out spot
This is a good place to go to chill with friends and hang out. Everyone is pretty friendly and/or keeps to themselves. The bartenders are all nice and friendly and the prices are good. They do have a dance floor but I've never seen any dancing on it but then again the latest I've been there on a weekend night was around 1030pm. I can't really make it on weekends very often so when I do go it's usually evening on a week day. Still a great little spot if you want to chill or hang out with friends. Also have a juke box with a lot of good song choices.
Horrid Place
This place is a dirty hole in the wall. Don't bother going on karaoke night, because the karaoke host, (Jesse) thinks he runs the world because he sucks off the owner! He will let one person put in 5 songs and sing them all before he lets a new singer in the rotation, because that is the order the songs were submitted. He also sounds like a monotone drone who has one phrase, "lets hear it for..., nice job...)
Sweet lil bar
Nice break from the long haul! From Chi-town to San Jose! If Jim is working ask for a double ;)
Friendly Crowd
I stopped in because of all the positive reviews on this site. I am shy and introverted, so I didn't really make new friends, but the video chat screens were fun, and I had fun posting messages on the screen. The crowd was friendly, and though I kept to myself, I really did enjoy my visit. I was disapointed in the selection of drafts, I like dark lagers and they didn't have any. I plan to visit again during my visit to SLC, and whenever I have business here in the future. :)
the gay dive of SLC
Every city has a dive bar for old men and trannies...this is the one in SLC
Not bad for a weekday
Was not very busy on the Sunday night we were there, but crowd was friendly. The bartender Jimmy is great, and very friendly. Had fun with the TV Screens around the bar that you can text messages to for everyone to see.
Try-Angles is awesome. Low drama, good company, good music and a good mixture of guys
