Ideas for signs: Let Them Pee; Children are not Predators; I'm not a Boy or a Girl, where do I pee?; Trans is not a Choice; I'd rather pee next to a Trans person than a Bigot; Protect our Trans Children; You're Violating my Trans Child's Rights; I'm on Strike for Trans Rights; the trans symbol, the non-gendered bathroom sign, etc. Be creative! Glitter encouraged. No sticks of any kind, as they can be construed as "weapons"
This is a peaceful protest. We will be loud, we will be visible. We will NOT be impeding traffic or pedestrians, harassing individuals coming or going from the Capitol building or causing other disruptive behavior.
Meet in front of the Utah Visitor's Center at 3pm and we will walk over to the steps together.

In May 2016, President Obama signed a declaration directing schools to allow trans students to use the bathroom/locker facilities that correspond to their gender identity under Title IX. Utah is one of the 11 states that sued the United States to have this order NOT be enforced. We are protesting to let Utah officials know that we support transgendered people's right to use the bathroom.
The F17 General Strike is a grassroots effort taking place on February 17th nationwide, where people will not be going to work or school (if possible) and most importantly, not spending any money!
