The ancient tribes watched the skies. They looked at the stars and watched the cycles of the Moon. As She waned and became an ever smaller crescent, the people feared that She would leave and not return. On the night of the Dark Moon the tribe would gather and serenade Her with rhythm and sound. The magic worked...and the Moon returned again for another cycle.

Drumming Back the Moon is a monthly event held during the dark/new moon. Please come join us for an evening of rhythm, laughter, and magic! No experience is necessary. This event will be held at Crone's Hollow from 7-8:30 p.m.
Things you should bring with you:
1. A drum! If you don't have a drum bring some other kind of percussion instrument (tambourines, rattles, wood blocks, sistrums, zils, etc.) If you don't have one of these, come anyway - many people bring spare instruments they're willing to share. You can also clap your hands or dance.
2. A good attitude and a willingness to learn! If you know how to drum and participate in rhythms that's great! If you're a new drummer you'll catch on quickly.
3. A donation to help cover the costs of space. The space will be rented and donations happily accepted. Putting a few dollars in the donation bucket makes sure that the lights stay on, the heat and air conditioning are plentiful and we have wood when we do a firepit event. No one will be turned away for lack of funds!
4. Bring incense and/or candles if you like.
See you at the Dark Moon!
