A lost legend, DJ Sodie comes out of the woodwork to remind crowds what track selection and control is all about. Since her fingertips first graced vinyl in 1999, Sodie has climbed the ranks and claimed her place as a staple of the Salt Lake City dance music community. Known most for her angelic breakbeats, vinyl manipulation, and sexy interjections of girly vocal styling, Sodie’s performance is a sound easily identified and rarely passed up. She has headlined with, opened for, and been billed alongside acts such as Hybrid, Deepsky, Rabbit in the Moon, Jackal & Hyde, Aphrodite, Charles Feelgood, and many others as well as earned global recognition after hosting the Fragment breakbeat series. Ranging in styles from four on the floor, breakbeat, dubstep, drum and bass, to turntablism she has earned respect across all genres and has converted the most avid trance addicts to a greater appreciation of breaks. Now residing in Baltimore Maryland, Sodie remains a founding member of The Priss Collective, dedicated to the promotion and support of the many talented women in the dance music industry.
